The discussion section is created in Frontpage (microsoft) So naturally they optimize it for their browsers. I agree that Netscape & Microsoft SHOULD work on their browsers so they both view pages pretty much alike. I don't think that will happen soon. They seem to like their browsers to only be partially compatible and let all of us struggle with them.
