Control of Smoking
Provide a safe designated area for smokers. This will
help prevent uncontrolled smoking are "hidden" areas that typically
have combustibles and are not normally occupied by someone.
Suitable "ash trays" and containers should be
provided for butts and matches. DO NOT provide trash containers in designated
"smoking areas."
Clearly communicate the smoking policy to all employees
and visitors.
Strictly enforce NO SMOKING policy in areas of storage,
flammable liquids, flammable gases or other hazardous area.
